Lobster Rolls and Burgers, You Can't Go Wrong
Anna Osgoodby Life + Design :: Burger & Lobster NYC Flatiron District

Lobster rolls and burgers... with a menu like that can you really go wrong?! I'm so excited to share my latest restaurant adventure to Burger & Lobster with you guys because to be frank, it was bomb.com!

Located in the Flatiron district (with a second NYC location coming soon!) the concept was started in 2011 by 4 friends who wanted to perfect a restaurant on two main ingredients -- burgers and lobster. Flash forward to 2017 and they have locations across the globe including spots in Bangkok, Dubai, London, Kuwait, Manchester and Stockholm, just to name a few

It turns out, they weren't the only ones who thought the concept was a great idea and I just happen to fall into that category! So let's get cracking -- see what I did there?!

We started dinner by checking out their drink menu which I ordered The Apothecary's Secret -- a cucumber mint vodka cocktail. I'm such a sucker for the refreshing cocktail and this one hit the spot. It would be a great option for when the weather warms up too!

Next up? We're talking lobster rolls. I've fallen hard for lobster rolls over the last few years so I could not wait to get my hands on these puppies. True story, I used to look forward to trips to Connecticut to meet with my business partner partly because I was obsessed with the lobster rolls up there. Burger & Lobster offers 3 varieties The Original, The Seven Samurai - with ginger infused mayo, cucumbers, cabbage, sesame seeds and togarashi sprinkle and The Fiesta - with chipotle mayo, corn, cabbage, bell peppers and pico de gallo. I mean... how's a girl to choose?

We decided we had to try The Original and then also decided on The Fiesta. Both excellent options! The Original is just what you're looking for when you're craving a juicy lobster roll -- buttery roll, mayo and topped with chives. One thing I've found in the city is that some places kind of skimp you on the lobster, but Burger & Lobster really loads you up. The Fiesta was another delicious option with a bit more kick than The Original. It was the perfect combination of a little spice without going overboard. The lobster rolls also come with fries and a side salad all for $20 or $25 -- which I thought was a steal for NYC! I should also note the dressing on the side salad was delicious and you know me, I'm not much of a salad girl so that's saying something!

Next up we decided we also had to try a burger to cap off the full Burger & Lobster experience. We opted for their 6 oz London Burger which was cooked perfectly to order and topped with the works, their burger sauce, and sandwiched between a sesame seed bun. Seriously solid burger done right to the last bite! I'm definitely going to have to come back to check out their Beast Burger too which has lobster meat topped on a 6 oz burger with swiss cheese and truffle mayo. Insane right?! Insanely delicious that is.

This spot is on point and I cannot wait to come back. It's the perfect spot to grab a bite after work, a cocktail in the bar, or for date night. Nice atmosphere and the staff was top notch! Burger & Lobster you treated us dang good, two thumbs up from me!

Yankee Stadium Goes Burger Crazy
Anna Osgoodby NYC Living :: Yankee Stadium Goes Burger Crazy 3 New Burgers Available for the 2016 Season

It's officially garlic cheesies season! Aka to the rest of the world as baseball season! ;-) While I'm not totally sure I'd call myself an actual baseball fan (I'm much more of a football girl) I've definitely found appreciation for the stadium grub

Yankee Stadium loves throwing a few curveballs in the mix each year with its offerings and this year they went far left field for their burger menu. <-- See what I did there?! Haha.

Being the true burger and ridiculous food lover that I am, I had to see what these babies were all about! So without further ado, let me introduce you to this year's line-up.

Double-Double Burger

The Double-Double is just about as tall as a NYC skyscraper. This sucker was hugeeee and could probably feed your whole family at the game. This takes the term double cheeseburger to a whole new level with two grilled cheese sandwiches as the buns. Try it if you dare!

Barnyard Wedding Burger

I fell in love at first sight with this burger creation as soon as I heard hashbrown. The Barnyard Wedding burger is a burger, topped with fried chicken, and then a hashbrown all on a pretzel bun. Ridiculous sounding? Maybe, but holy burger it was delicious. I will be back for another wedding...

G.O.A.T Burger

Meet the G.O.A.T Burger aka Greatest of All Time Burger. I grabbed a bite of this beauty that is a burger topped with pastrami, crispy bacon, and some tasty condiments all on a pretzel bun. The flavors on this one are dynamite and it's definitely not your average burger.

I was pretty pumped to check these guys out and I have to say they totally lived up to the ridiculous combinations I like to see at stadiums! They're not your cheapest options ranging from $16-20 just for the burger, but we are in NYC after all. If you want to check any of these guys out at your next game you can find them at the concessions behind section 115!

Bondurants
Anna Osgoodby Life + Design :: NYC Food -- Burgers and tots at Bondurants on the Upper East Side

This burger might change the way you look at burgers. Yes, seriously. Chris and I discovered the Bondurants' Pimento Burger and let's just say our burger game has changed a little. Bondurants is an awesome neighborhood spot that features small batch bourbons, local distilleries, a draft list the rotates and some banging food.

Meet our new favorite burger on the Upper East Side in all of its pimento cheese, lettuce, pickled green tomato, hot sauce (this is key) and pretzel bun goodness.

The key things that set this burger apart with some southern flair are 3 things -- the hot sauce, pimento cheese and pickled green tomato. Combined together they give a nice kick to your mouth that compliments the burger perfectly. Add in the pretzel bun and you've got a seriously delicious burger. Just try it. You need to.

That's not all though. They make these tots.. that are unlike any tots you have had before. They are handcrafted and all sorts of delicious. They're bigger than what you are used to and once you take one bite dipped in their spicy ranch or ketchup you'll be hooked. We've been here a couple of times by now and vowed to try some of the other options on their shares menu, but we just can't get away from them! So tasty.

If you're a burger lover like I am it's worth the trip uptown (or down the street for me) to check them out. Eat up!
